Back in 2018, my Girard Perregaux watch stopped working. This watch was one of the first quartz movements back in the early 70’s and the watch was given to me by my late parents for college graduation. Although it was not a very high end watch it was of great value to me and unfortunately the movement and several other parts were damaged and could not be fixed by my watchmaker here in the U.S. Searching the internet, I found Sudarson at oldswisswatches.com.

Sudarson, who is located in India, stated that he could fix my watch! Although I was reluctant to send my watch around the world and to someone I did not know, I did so as a last resort wanting it fixed. The complicated electrical Caliber 350 movement for this watch is no longer made making the fix even more difficult. After several challenges with circuitry and parts, Sudarson was finally able to fix my watch, not once but twice, when no one else could. Yes, it took two years, two trips to India and two different repairs and searches for hard to find parts but Sudarson worked a miracle and fixed the watch!!!

Sudarson is a truly competent watchmaker who can fix complex old watch problems at a fair price. He communicates with his customers throughout the process and follows up throughout the work. I would not hesitate to have him fix any of my watches and I recommend him highly for those hard to fix watches in your collection. I publicly want to thank him for what he did for me.

I received my watch today and am pleased with the restoration that you did. Took a lot longer than expected but was worth the wait. I installed the Android genuine alligator deployment strap I purchased after I sent the watch to you. Attached a photo of it.

Hello Sudarson,

We received the watches yesterday. You have done very nice work making them function and replacing the crystals! I was able to use some ‘Mothers’ brand aluminum polish and remove much of the oxidation from the Sinisa Sport watch. I wore the Vostok to an event yesterday where I received several comments on it.

I have received the watch and I am very pleased with the restoration you were able to perform on the watch.

To be truthful, I was somewhat apprehensive as to the quality of your work, or even facing the possibility that the watch would ever be returned. The watch was close to a hundred years old and belonged to my father. It had been neglected, the crystal was broken and the face and hands were a disaster. The watch, not having been used in over sixty years must have been equally deteriorated inside.

Living in Panama, I was unable to find a jeweler who would even attempt a repair, let alone a full restoration.

However, being so pleased, I felt it proper to recommend you to my friends, who are now receiving blind copies of this letter.
